Consumers Supporting the
Midwives Model of Care
in Ohio
Our Mission
We strongly believe that homebirth should be a safe, legal, and accessible option for all women and families in low risk pregnancies.
Ohio Friends of Midwives is a non-profit, grassroots, consumer-based organization that supports and promotes out of hospital midwifery care as a quality health care option for Ohio birthing families. OFOM serves as an educational resource for the public and for both professional and nonprofessional groups who share an interest in the Midwifery Model of Care.
